Nextyn receives the expert network award on stage in New York

Nextyn, an expert network and primary research firm, received Best Expert Network & Primary Research Provider on stage at the Eagle Alpha Alternative Data Conference in New York City. Rasesh Seth, our Chief Executive Officer, and Sid Muralidhar, our Head of US Strategy & Partnerships, accepted the award. The award comes from the Market & Alt Data Insight Awards USA, run by A-Team Group.

The A-Team Group winners report says the winners were announced live at the Eagle Alpha Alternative Data Conference in New York City on 10 September 2026. In his foreword, Andrew Delaney, President & Chief Content Officer of A-Team Group, describes the programme as recognising the vendors, platforms and consultancy providers that deliver the market and alternative data on which North American capital markets depend.

The categories span the full data ecosystem, from real time pricing feeds and reference data to unstructured alternative datasets, sentiment analysis, geospatial intelligence and AI driven data analytics. Delaney writes that the firms recognised share "a clear direction of travel", as buy side and sell side participants ask their data partners for modularity and API delivery. He thanks every firm that entered, the advisory board and the voters, and says nominations for 2027 open later this year.

The awards recognise providers of market data and alternative data (also called alt data) in the United States. Alternative data is information that sits outside company filings, such as transaction, web or satellite data. Expert calls give investors a first hand view to set beside that data. A-Team Group is a publisher and events business covering capital markets data and technology. We are grateful to A-Team Group, to the community that voted, and to the advisory board that took part in the selection.

The winners were chosen by community votes and an independent advisory board

A-Team Group chose the winners through a combination of votes from the community and the deliberations of an independent advisory board. The board is drawn from senior practitioners across capital markets, technology and data infrastructure, including firms such as Invesco US, UBS and Select Equity, according to the A-Team Group winners report.

The recognition belongs first to our experts, who give their time and knowledge on every call, and to the team who work with them.

"This recognition belongs to our team across New York, Mumbai, Bangalore, Jakarta and Singapore, who show up every day for our clients with care. It belongs to our clients, whose questions push us to grow. And it belongs to every expert who generously shares their knowledge with us. To me, it reflects our commitment to the US market and the relationships we are building there, one conversation at a time."

Expert network services for due diligence, channel checks and strategy

A primary research firm gathers new evidence directly from people in a market, through interviews, surveys and site visits, rather than relying on published data. Nextyn provides expert network services to private equity firms, hedge funds, venture capital investors, investment banks, consulting case teams and corporate strategy teams, across every industry group on our industries page.

Private equity and consulting teams use expert calls and expert panels in commercial due diligence and private equity due diligence, hearing from people who know a target's market first hand. Hedge fund teams use expert calls for thesis testing and channel checks between reporting dates. Venture investors speak with practitioners inside early markets, investment banks brief coverage teams with former operators before a pitch, and corporate strategy teams test market entry plans with operators who have made the move.

Expert calls, expert interviews and other expert network formats

Nextyn offers eight ways to put a question to experts, and a research lead owns the brief in each.

How a Nextyn engagement runs

  1. 1Your briefYou tell us the market, the company or the decision, and we scope the expertise it needs.
  2. 2Recruited to your questionWe identify the specialists your question needs and match them against it.
  3. 3Screened before bookingEach expert is cleared for conflicts and MNPI before anything is scheduled.
  4. 4Call and transcriptYou take the call or have a researcher moderate it, and the transcript lands in Nextyn IQ.

Choose the format

01One to one conversations

Expert calls

Used forchannel checks, thesis testing, commercial due diligence

An expert call is a scheduled one to one conversation with a former executive, operator or specialist. Investment teams use it for channel checks and commercial due diligence. You receive the transcript and a summary, kept on Nextyn IQ as a source of expert insights.

Moderated calls

Used forinput without the hour on the call

Moderated calls are expert interviews that a Nextyn analyst runs on your behalf. You provide the questions, and the analyst recruits the expert, runs the conversation against your guide and writes it up, so you get the input without the hour on the call.

AI moderated calls

Used forthe same guide across many experts

AI moderated calls, also called AI moderated interviews, use an AI moderator to follow your approved guide across many experts at once. Nextyn recruits and screens the panel, panellists agree to the format beforehand, and a researcher reviews every session.

02Many voices at once

Expert panels

Used forconsensus and dissent side by side

An expert panel puts one question to several experts at once: three to six practitioners in one live session, moderated by a Nextyn analyst. You hear a buyer, a supplier and a former operator side by side, and receive a readout separating consensus from dissent.

Opinion surveys

Used forpricing, feature and demand questions

Opinion surveys put a number behind a decision. Nextyn writes the questionnaire, fields it to senior operators and specialists screened to your profile, and delivers an analyzed readout with the sample behind every figure.

03On the ground

Field immersions

Used forsite visits, shelf checks, channel checks

Field immersions send Nextyn researchers to the factory floor, the store shelf, the distributor or the local market. They cover channel checks with suppliers, distributors and retailers, plus site visits and shelf checks, as part of commercial due diligence.

04Over time

Advisory boards

Used fora standing view for leadership

An advisory board is a standing group of external practitioners who meet your leadership on a cadence you set. Advisers hold no fiduciary duty and no legal control, so the conversation stays candid. Nextyn settles conflict checks before a name reaches you.

Long term consulting support

Used fora question that has become a workstream

Long term consulting support places an independent consultant, a senior specialist or former operator from the Nextyn network, inside your team on a defined mandate. It suits a question that has become a workstream, such as integration after diligence.
